Columbia Memorial Hospital

An independent nonprofit hospital on Astoria’s east side has 49 beds and serves the entire county. The hospital first opened in 1927. The facility on Exchange Street was built in 1977.

State of Oregon

The state of Oregon’s Web site includes information about state history, government and all the state agencies. It includes information about recreation and travel opportunities.

Fort Stevens

The 3,700-acre park includes a historical preserve and museum as well as campgrounds, beach access and other recreational opportunities.

Coast Guard Air Station Astoria

The air station is at the Astoria Regional Airport with a primary mission of rescue, law enforcement and navigation support.

Lewis & Clark National Park

The historic park is made up of 12 sites in Oregon and Washington, including Fort Clatsop, Netul Landing and the Fort to Sea Trail, all in Warrenton.

Camp Rilea

Just south of Warrenton, the camp is maintained by the Oregon National Guard. Its rifle and pistol ranges and mock “city” make it a popular training site for area police agencies as well.

Oregon Tuna Classic

The third annual classic was held in Warrenton on Aug. 4, bringing hundreds of fishers to the small community. Each year it benefits the Oregon Food Bank and Ducks Unlimited.

Warrenton-Hammond School District

The Warrenton-Hammond School District serves residents of Warrenton. The 550-student grade school serves children through grade 9. Warrenton High has 272 students in grades 9-12.

Businesses in Warrenton are often members of the area chamber of commerce in addition to being represented by the Warrenton Business Association.

Clatsop Community College 

Residents of Warrenton live within the Clatsop Community College District, a two-year college founded in 1958 and serving 7,000 students. In May 2007, voters rejected a plan to move the aging campus from Astoria to Warrenton.. 

Clatsop County

Warrenton is one of four incorporated cities within Clatsop County. Warrenton is in the county’s far northwest tip. The county, which is in the state’s northwest tip, has 36,300 residents within 1,085 square miles. 

Port of Astoria

The port governs two marinas in Astoria, a growing marine and cruise ship terminal, as well as land in Warrenton, including the airport.

Sunset Empire Transportation District

The public transit agency serves all of Clatsop County. While its transit center is in Astoria, the district office is on Skipanon Drive in Warrenton.

Warrenton Trails Association

The group meets at 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month to devise and implement a system of trails for the city. A 53-page strategic plan can be found on the web site.
